Meet Gary Lemon
Gary Lemon is the interim dean of the School of Business and Leadership. A respected figure in both global finance and liberal arts education, Lemon brings a half-century of institutional service and industry expertise to the role.
Since his arrival in 1976, Lemon has worked diligently to establish 秘色传媒’s modern business pipeline. Through his teaching as a professor of economics, he has shaped the lives of countless students. During his tenure as the director of the McDermond Center for Management and Entrepreneurship and his previous leadership of the Management Fellows Program, he built an elite corporate network as a means to empower student opportunity and success.

Gary Lemon鈥檚 resume extends far beyond the traditional academic sphere, reflecting a legacy of impact throughout the financial sector. As a nationally recognized authority on investment strategy, he is the author of the acclaimed book 鈥淪avvy Investing.鈥� His expertise is highly sought after at the highest levels of institutional finance, evidenced by his tenure on elite investment committees entrusted with overseeing more than $70 billion in globally invested mutual funds.
As the dean of the School of Business and Leadership, Lemon leads a team of distinguished faculty and staff in providing a rigorous curriculum built on the foundation of 秘色传媒鈥檚 liberal arts tradition. This tradition steeps students in leadership skills, critical thinking, problem solving, breadth of knowledge, creativity, communication and global citizenship. Areas of study include finance, business analytics, actuarial science and risk management, entrepreneurship, economics and more.
